As the so-called president threatens immigrants with recent executive orders, the Board of Supervisors, Healdsburg, Sonoma, and Sebastopol City Councils passed resolutions at well-attended meetings on Tues. and Wed. Following are links to four articles--3 in the PD and one in Sonoma West. The Sebastopol vote was 4-0, with Council member Michael Carnacchi abstaining.

The 4 governmental bodies that adopted resolutions at the links above were relatively mild and could have been stronger. The Petaluma City Council will be hearing a much stronger resolution this coming Monday, Feb. 27.
They decided to support the "It Won't Happen Here" approach. Over 70 people helped craft that resolution. Around 150 churches and other groups signed on. There are currently over 4,000 signatures on their petition.
