Better, Not Bigger: How to Take Control of Growth and Improve Your Community

Recently Napa Vision 2050, a coalition working to protect the quality of life for the Commons, held a forum on the Tourism-Driven Economy Summit helping people to think about the long term outlook for Napa.

Sonoma County seems to be turning into a playland for the rich while more of our community members struggle to afford the cost of living. It seems like in Sonoma County and West County we need more efforts like this so that our communities can plan for the long term.

Are there any groups locally leading efforts like this?

You may want to connect with Sonoma County Conservation Action and the Leadership Institute for Ecology and the Economy (ecoleader.org). Both groups have been addressing these issues for many years.
