2016 is a pivotal year for the Southeast Greenway. Please join us to find out how you can play a role in creating a vibrant Greenway in Santa Rosa and share in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for community imagining during the coming year.

Keynote Speaker, Dave Koehler, Sonoma Land Trust’s new Executive Director will describe his experience with the development of the San Joaquin River Parkway, a continuous greenway along 33 miles of river in the rapidly urbanizing Fresno-Madera region.

Meet the Southeast Greenway Community Partners and learn more about their work and contributions to the Greenway effort. Speakers will provide a roadmap for the upcoming year’s activities.

    • Chuck Regalia, Assistant City Manager, will describe the City’s role, which includes hiring consultants to develop a land use concept plan, preparing a General Plan amendment and Environmental Impact Report, and offering opportunities for public input and comments.
    • Erin Morris, Senior Planner, will present highlights of her findings about existing conditions, opportunities and constraints that will inform future uses of the property.
    • Wendy Eliot, Sonoma Land Trust’s Conservation Director, will discuss negotiations with Caltrans and coordinating fundraising to purchase the land.
Representatives from the Sonoma County Water Agency, Regional Parks, LandPaths and the Greenway Campaign will address the many opportunities that a future Southeast Greenway will offer.

Attendance is FREE and light refreshments will be served. Childcare by licensed providers and Spanish translation service will be available. The Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition will offer valet bike parking.

Please register at EventBrite to reserve your spot. For more information about the Southeast Greenway Campaign, please visit our website at www.southeastgreenway.org or call 707-703-1922.
