We all know that there is a devastating fire in Lake County. We've seen the apocalyptic photos on the news. Hundreds of people have lost everything. Among this disaster, Middletown Animal Hospital was miraculously spared. The veterinarian Dr. Jeff Smith has opened his practice to offer free veterinary care to any animal that needs it. He and his staff are working around the clock to help save animals who are lost, hurt, and even burned by the fire. The veterinarians and staff are also being allowed behind the scenes to search for animals in need. Not everyone's pets made it out, and as homeowners return, they are finding survivors who often need urgent veterinary care for burns, smoke inhalation, and more.
The reality is that the veterinary hospital still has operating expenses, but they are no longer charging for their services, because people can't pay for it. That's where you come in. We, as Sonoma County citizens, are neighbors to Lake County. Many of us have friends and family who live in Lake County. We are asking you, as neighbors and fellow animal lovers, to open your hearts to the suffering of Lake County's animals and support Middletown Animal Hospital.
