    Survey says: Economic Inequality: It’s Far Worse Than 'most' Americans Think

    The article's header is titled: Economic Inequality: It’s Far Worse Than You Think

    Here is a snippet of the article from Scientific American by Nicolas Fitz dated March 31 2015 that I heard about on the KPFA Radio program called Economic Update which was hosted by Dr. Richard Wolff on Friday April 17 2015:
    Quote The great divide between our beliefs, our ideals, and reality

    The average American believes that the richest fifth own 59% of the wealth and that the bottom 40% own 9%. The reality is strikingly different. The top 20% of US households own more than 84% of the wealth, and the bottom 40% combine for a paltry 0.3%. The Walton family, for example, has more wealth than 42% of American families combined.
