Hey Playful People --

Your are invited to participate with the Shenanigators, the Mobile Party Unit of the Sebastopol Village Building Convergence.

[The VBC is a 10 day celebration of community with hands-on projects like painting murals and building bus stops, as well as night time activities like music, food and discussions! It started in Portland 14 years ago and we're bringing it to Sonoma County!]

The Shenanigators are a wild group of everyday citizens who:

Parade in costume
Hand out love notes
Start dance parties
Bike to place making projects around Sebastopol
Guerrilla garden

SHENANIGATOR ACTIONS:

Tour de Placemaking Projects, Sunday, Sept 14th at Noon

Bring your bike at noon to the east side of the Plaza under the trees during the Farmer's Market.

We will decorate our bikes and fluff our tutus, as well as play some improvised games in the Plaza. At 1 PM we will leave on a bike ride from the McKinley Street murals to Hardcore Coffee's cob bench placemaking project with spontaneous stops along the way!!

Bring your: Hand-percussion instruments, costumes, face paint, bike decorations!

Spontaneous Dance Party, Thursday, Sept 18th at 5:30

Meet near the sunken lawn on McKinley Street.

The Barlow Spirit Dog is being painted all day on Thursday on McKinley Street, so come cheer them on or help get it done by nightfall! Come as early as you want to help, or just show up at 5:30 with bells on to bust out in a dance party around the entire painting in the street, causing happiness for all!

Bring your: Funky, fabulous, fresh, freaky, fun, flamboyant fashions ready to dance to the Folk-Rock band, Frobeck.

VBC Celebration Parade, Sunday, Sept 21th at Noon

Meet at the east side of the Plaza under the trees during the Farmer's Market.

On the final day of VBC, we will bedazzle, adorn and otherwise get pumped up for the Parade through the Barlow. At 1 PM we will cross over to McKinley Street to parade to each of the new murals from Mckinley to Community Market outdoor stage and back again. There will be live music and dancers (including you and me)!

Bring your: Your bikes, your bubble blowers, your hand drums and your brightest attire.
