The Watertrough Children’s Alliance continues its progress though the superior court. The other side attempted to get our complaint dismissed on three different grounds. All three were rejected by the Sonoma Coubty court a few weeks ago. The case is now awaiting a conference with the court at which time the briefing schedule and a hearing on the merits will be scheduled. As the case moves forward, we anticipate considerable resistance from the Farm Bureau and the wine industry. The Farm Bureau likely will ask the court for permission to file a friend of the court brief against our position.
The situation is more vital than ever as we enter the final phase of our legal action which will have far reaching ramifications regarding the use of pesticides next to schools and children in Sonoma County.
The WCA is in urgent need of funds to continue. For further info visit https://wcachildren.org/donate/
