Point Reyes, California

Based on a series of workshops developed by Anna and Lawrence Haplrin, called “Experiments in Environment", we will explore the life-affirming experiences found in a creative engagement with the natural environment – a dance that has become an integral part of the Tamalpa Life/Art Process. This workshop will take place in the coastal landscape of the Point Reyes Peninsula.

Co-facilitators Ken Otter, PhD,and Taira Restar, MA, RSME, each have over 25 years of environmental dance experience. Ken began his affiliation with Tamalpa Institute in 1981, part of the core faculty since 1993, and has contributed significantly to the evolving nature of Tamalpa Life/Art Process in the training programs. Taira is an artist and arts educator who teaches Tamalpa Life/Art Process internationally. She began her training at Tamalpa in 1983, has performed with Anna Halprin, and is on core faculty at Tamalpa.

CEUs available. This workshop meets the qualifications for 18 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Approval No. PCE 1783. A $75 non-refundable deposit is charged for this workshop. The remaining workshop fee is refundable with 24-hour cancellation notice. CEU fee is $25.
