Leelaji,

I have a new 2010 Prius (Package IV) and my iPhone works well with my car's Nav system. I can use the voice commands via the car's system to dial out and answer incoming calls and transfer my contacts list from my iPhone to the car. I can also play the iPod feature on my iPhone through the Bluetooth connection. The USB port (if you get that option) is pretty useful for charging the iPhone, but it doesn't work as a port for the iPod in the iPhone- but a regular iPod will. (iPhones are not supported yet in the system as iPod units.) You can, however, just plug a USB memory stick in the USB port and listen to music that way through the Audio Navigation system. If you have a specific question, ask it. I don't know about Sebastopol, but I'm in the Russian River area and I use ATT (previously Cinglular) because they're the ONLY carrier that works out here!

You might want to go read the "Compatible Cell Phones" threads that exist on the www.priuschat.com website/forum....they're a pretty helpful group! Here's one for you:

We switched to Verison after their new tower went in last winter. Their service is now superior to ATT's in Guerneville, at least in my experience.
It was not an issue for my wife to get her cell phone working via the blue tooth in her new Prius.

Greetings Leelaji-

I dont know anything about the Prius, but since you are apparently into buying green, you might want to consider switching to Credo mobile (www.credomobile.com), a divison of Working Assets. I just switched and they bought me out of my contract with ATT (who donated big time to the Bush/Cheney campaign), and I now get a signal in the outskirts of Occidental, where almost nobody else does! Credo and Working Assets donate 1% of profits each year to green, socially conscious and non-profit organizations that the members choose, plus you can send "action letters" and they send good information with all their statements. Good Luck!
