Music to Light the Dark
St. John's Episcopal Church - Norm Cram Parish Hall - 530 C Street, Petaluma at 5:00 p.m.
In this evening of story, art and poetry, the story of how the figure of Orpheus opened the doorway to transformation and healing will frame a musical voyage from grief to grace. Featuring the music of J.S. Bach, Mozart, Faure, Arvo Part, Philip Glass, Igor Stravinsky, Fanny Mendelssohn and Christopher Gluck. Kayleen Asbo, story and piano with Julija Zibrat, violin, and Evan Kahn, cello. The $20 suggested donation benefits the singers and musicians. This is part of St. John’s monthly first Sunday Celtic Evensong program.
